Personal Hygiene

To prevent contamination of food and work areas, it’s important to follow some basic hygiene rules.

When working at WISSLER, you should avoid eating, drinking, chewing gum, or smoking in food handling areas, as this can lead to contamination.

Additionally, it’s important to wear appropriate work clothing and footwear and avoid street clothes and shoes, as this can prevent contamination.

Using a hat or scarf to keep hair away from food is also a good practice.

It’s also recommended to avoid visible jewelry, as it can accumulate bacteria and contaminate food.

Wash hands

It’s also important to wash hands frequently with warm water and soap for 20 seconds, especially before and after handling food, to reduce the risk of contamination.

Further measures include keeping nails short, clean, and without polish, as well as using gloves and masks as needed and changing them regularly to avoid contamination.

Report

Respect the kitchen’s entry, exit, and passage circuits to prevent the introduction of contamination, and report any health changes immediately to the responsible party to avoid bacterial transfer.

Finally, any skin sores or cuts should be protected with waterproof bandages to prevent contamination of food.
